Fundamental Lacrosse is excited to announce its Fall Lacrosse Training schedule that will begin this September. This year we are offering 3 distinct training options to meet the needs of players of all abilities.
Beginning in September, Fundamental Lacrosse will offer 2 types of Fall training opportunities with each program offering 5 training sessions, the third training option is our club teams, where players will participate in 2 Fall tournaments.
Option 1: Fall Saturday Training Sessions (Grades 1-8)
Fundamental Lacrosse has partnered with the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club in Southport, CT to offer a non-competitive Fall training program for players looking to play.
These sessions are designed to help players develop their stick skills, individual position work, and team concepts in a 6:1 player to coach environment.
All drills incorporate Box Lacrosse training which emphasizes on stick work and quick decision making.
Players will be divided into age appropriate groups. Registration will be handled through Wakeman and will open in early Aug. More information is available HERE
Option 2: Fall Advanced Sunday Training Sessions (Grades 6-12)
For players looking for a more advanced training option geared to towards players with travel and club playing experience, Fundamental Lacrosse is excited for its 2nd annual Fall Sunday Sessions Training. Each week players will be pushed with new drills to hone their skills and understanding of the game.
New this Fall is the incorporation of a weekly 30 minute - Speed & Agility session led by our Director of Performance Coach Christopher Fee who will train our athletes beyond being "lacrosse players", but better athletes as well.

Option 3: Fall '15/Summer '16 Club Lacrosse (Grades 6-8)
This program is designed for players with experience at the "Travel A" level looking to play in a competitive environment that will include play in 3 tournaments in November.
Tryouts will be held on Sunday, September 13th & 20th, players making the teams will have the option to train & play in Fall Tournaments if they are playing another Fall Sport.
For players that cannot commit to the tournament schedule their a "Training Only Option" is available, please contact us for details.
Boys and girls, grades Kindergarten through 8th, come join the Brookfield Youth Lacrosse Club this fall for FREE lacrosse clinics.
All new and returning players are welcome on Wednesday nights at Cadigan Park from 6:00-7:30pm and Saturday mornings at Schmidt Field: boys from 9:00-10:30am and girls 10:30-12:00pm. Click here to register.

If your player doesn’t have lacrosse equipment, the club is renting gear for the fall season. Boys rental fee is $50 and girls fee is $35. Boys will need to be fitted for proper sizing which takes place on 8/26 from 6:30-7:30pm at Cadigan Park. Fittings will also take place at the first Wednesday and Saturday practices on 9/9 and 9/12. Sign your Brookfield Youth Lacrosse player up for our 12 week strength and conditioning program at WestConn Strength & Conditioning.
Our strength coach has designed a proven program specifically for the needs of youth lacrosse players. This program will help them gain strength so that they can be more effective on the field, and most importantly help reduce the risk of injury.
In one possession a lacrosse player change directions on average 8-10 times. In order to improve agility our skills coach will teach them to maximize quickness and explosiveness while improving dynamic stability, essential for improving movement skills and overall athleticism.
We are accepting all athletes from grades 6-8 and all experience levels.
Dates & Times: Session begins August 31, 2015 and ends on November 21, 2015. Strength training will run Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4-5 p.m. (Monday time subject to change, depending on number of participants). Speed and agility work work will run 30-45 minutes on Wednesday (6-6:45 p.m.) and Saturday (9-9:45 a.m.)
Location: Strength training will take place at CrossFit Brookfield, 1087 Federal Road, Unit 7 (Entrance in the rear of building). Speed and agility work will be at Cadigan Field on Wednesday and the Cornfield on Saturday.
Cost: $550.00 per athlete for the 12 week session (Minimum of 10 athletes)
